College of Upward Players in Soccer (CUPS) is an amateur training organization for ALBIREX NIIGATA, a professional soccer club in Japan. Not only in Japan, but throughout the world as well, there are few examples of such an educational institution that operates with a professional soccer club. This cooperation enables us to provide students high-level match experience, pro-class practice facilities and practical training leading to contracts and employments. It is the utmost environment for aspiring soccer professionals.

Study Soccer and Japanese language at the same time
Most of your coaches and teammates will be Japanese. But don’t worry! International students are supposed to enroll and study Japanese Language at College of Foreign Languages, Tourism and Airline Japanese Language Dept. (AIR JP), one of the schools in the group. You can attend both CUPS and AIR JP at the same time and learn soccer and Japanese.
◎College of Foreign Languages, Tourism and Airline （AIR）College of Foreign Languages, Tourism and Airline has a Japanese Language Department licensed by Association for the Promotion of Japanese Language apart from other departments. Currently, the Japanese Language Department has around 250 students from 18 different countries (as of Jan. 2013). AIR has two long-term educational courses for foreign students: a 2-year course beginning in April and a 1.5-year course beginning in October. By entering those courses, students are able to receive the status of “College students”, which is equivalent to foreign students studying in the colleges/universities in Japan. This means that AIR is authorized as a higher education organization founded on The School Education Law in Japan.
